An unexpected hail (of work!)

So, we feel like underachievers this week -- it's been a hectic week for both us and the farm share. We got our newsletter from the share explaining that due to a super-heavy rainfall that damaged some crops and other infrastructure at the farm, the share this week would be smaller than expected. I feel like writing a similar newsletter to the blog, explaining that a busy workweek and a very fun visit from Nate's Mum and Dad (hi guys!), we have a smaller blogweek than usual -- but we did ourselves well with two old favorites: lunch at Plum Pomidor, and fantastic sandwiches at JouJou. And we got brave and tried a new place: Aquatalia, an tiny Italian place just down the street. And it was a nice addition to the repertoire!

(Another culprit for the slowdown, it must be said, is that Nate's delicious, delicious moussaka lasted all the week long: I had the last piece tonight, and enjoyed it thoroughly. We still have most of the green beans, 1.5 cucumbers and the collard greens left over -- I will address them tomorrow night, when I get back from Pennsylvania, where I'm checking out a new green building! Or perhaps Nate will -- the poor wuzz is at work tonight, and he'll be back tomorrow morning, hopefully before I leave. Ahhhh, retail. )

In the meantime, here is a picture of a grumpy angel Nate took while we were in Rhode Island.

Actually the restaurant is called Aqua Marina but Jen loves to call it Aquatalia. It's one of her favorite hobbies.

Yes, those meals we shared with you at the three places mentioned were lovely. And re: the moussaka, isn't it nice when you can make a dish and the leftovers are just as good as the first time you serve it? I love that!
